We are modestly proud of our breakfast & we do get lovely comments - thank you.  It is amazingly simple, very fresh, very local – honey & fromage blanc, freshly squeezed orange juice (naturally), fabulous bread with homemade jams, strong coffee, well-made tea and a mountain of glorious seasonal fruit.

Outside the summer months, we add locally sourced boiled eggs, served in our fabulous ceramic egg cup plates beautifully made by our friend & potter Lou @upton pottery.

Breakfast has two modes: an al fresco affair in the courtyard or in the salon with tunes. Nothing could be simpler nor more perfect.

We serve breakfast from 9 am to 10 am.

table de marché & lunches

We do love Saturdays; in the summer season, we host a weekly table de Marché, a great get together in our private kitchen garden, based around produce from the morning market. Poulet roti & frites, a plethora of salads & seasonal vegetables, mostly from our own gardens, legendary cheese platters & very often a couple of tartes Tatin. The very liberally flowing wine is included. Places are limited to the number we can get round the table.

In season, we have a small offering of aperitif snacks; available every day, either poolside or in the courtyard - platters of charcuterie, baked cheese & dips.

We do ask for you not to picninc at the pool.

We will happily provide you with cutlery, plates, glasses & ice (for a fee)- for those who would like to picnic in the courtyard.

apéritif, table d'hôtes & pool service

We are fond of any kind of aperitif as those who have been here know. Officially we make the rounds for drinks & snacks around 6pm, however we are delighted to serve you drinks whenever you’re parched in the courtyard or up at the pool.

The wine list is all very local, mostly friend-wine-makers, who produce beautiful wine, which makes it extra special for us to spread the love.

We have plenty of spirits in house, so if you fancy a gin & tonic, or a negroni, please do ask, we will probably be able to oblige.

There is no glass around the pool but we do have a fine range of polycarbonate glasses so you can enjoy drinks up on that terrace.
